Pervasive Calm Medication Reminder System

This paper describes a context aware pervasive calm medication reminder system. The system aims at improving the anticoagulant treated patient’s medication adherence based on context awareness. By using advanced sensor technology to register the user context, the system reminds the patient to take the medication timely. The system prototype was tested and evaluated by a patient, and was reported useful. The context aware reminders also enhanced the patient’s adherence to medication intake.
